Dr. Kristen Flint is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Associate Physician in Endocrinology at Massachusetts General Hospital. She serves as the Medical Director for Quality for the MGH/BWH Endocrinology Division. She earned her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine, completed her Internal Medicine residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and completed her fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her research focuses on the use of diabetes technologies in the inpatient and primary care settings, and she has particular interest in the implementation and scalability of continuous glucose monitoring in primary care and community health settings.

Dr Margaretha Martha Visser (born 14 February 1987, the Netherlands) obtained her master’s degree in Medicine in 2011 at the University of Groningen (RuG).

After a one-year internship at the Internal Medicine department of Medisch Centrum Leeuwarden (MCL), Dr Visser began her Internal Medicine training at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) in 2012, where she graduated as an endocrinologist in December 2018. Fascinated by science, Dr Visser moved to Belgium in January 2019 to pursue a PhD at the Department of Clinical and Experimental Endocrinology at University Hospitals Leuven–KU Leuven. Her PhD focused on the use of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) in type 1 diabetes, and was supervised by Prof Pieter Gillard and Prof Chantal Mathieu. 

Dr Visser currently works as a staff member in the Department of Endocrinology at University Hospitals Leuven, combining patient care with type 1 diabetes research. She supervises Master’s and PhD students during their theses, and (co-)reviews articles for several peer-reviewed journals. In recent years, Dr Visser has published several articles on CGM in journals such as The Lancet, The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology, Nature Metabolism, and Diabetologia.
